Frequently Asked Questions

Keith Jones, the visionary behind the Grown & Sexy Cruise phenomenon, is a multifaceted entertainer whose influence spans Miami Bass Music, radio, and the culinary world. As the founder of Grown & Sexy Cruises, Keith “DJ KJ” Jones’ objective was to provide a safe, affordable way to explore the globe while sharing his passion for music.

What began as a single annual cruise has evolved into an array of travel options, including cruises, hotel takeovers, and exclusive getaways to bucket-list destinations such as Dubai, Cairo, Bangkok, Bali, Rio de Janeiro and Cartagena. Our cruises are renowned for their exceptional value, featuring private nightly theme parties, celebrity DJs, comedy shows, seminars, networking opportunities, and ‘Praise at Sea’. Our international trips include VIP experiences such as yacht charters, restaurant buyouts, and local entertainment.

Travelers leave not only with incredible memories, but also with new friendships, inspiration, and motivation.

Make Travel Matter

At Grown & Sexy, we embrace the philosophy of “take memories & leave only footprints.” We are committed to preserving the beauty and integrity of each destination we visit by minimizing our environmental impact and supporting local communities. We craft itineraries including dining at local restaurants, supporting local businesses, and hiring local talent alongside our own entertainers.

Grown & Sexy also supports underserved women in the Caribbean with our sundress donation drive. In the wake of Hurricane Dorian in 2019, we contributed over $10,000 in food and supplies to aid recovery efforts in the Bahamas.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived — that is to have succeeded.” At Grown & Sexy, we are dedicated to making a difference and leaving a positive impact wherever we go.

One of the great perks of Elite status is gaining access to the Captain's Club Coffee Lounge, where you can enjoy a coffeehouse-style breakfast each morning. This is a particularly big deal on shore excursion days, as it means you have a relatively quiet and uncrowded place to grab a quick breakfast before heading out for a tour.

Elites also get unlimited free drinks from the Captain's Club menu each day, excluding embarkation day, between 5 and 7 p.m. at most bars and lounges on the ship. All you have to do is present your Sea Pass card. As noted above, this isn't quite the perk it used to be since a basic drinks package is included with many bookings now as part of the line's relatively new Always Included fare tier.

If you're sailing on a Solstice Class or Millennium Class vessel, reaching the Elite tier will get you free access to the Persian Garden spa zones — home to steam rooms, saunas and heated loungers — on one port day of your choice.

Elite level also brings:

  • Priority tender service, where available
  • Access to a private lounge on departure day serving continental breakfast
  • An invitation to a senior officer party
  • An invitation to a Music & Mixology event
  • A 20% discount on a bottle of wine
  • A 30% discount on Wi-Fi packages and upgrades, plus 90 complimentary stream minutes
  • A 15% discount on drinks packages
  • A 40% discount on a digital or print photo package
  • A 20% discount on The Studio photo packages
  • One complimentary dry clean item
  • One standard bag of complimentary laundry (wash, dry & fold)
  • A 15% discount at the ship's spa

Whatever the itinerary, destination, or occasion—when you pack, think casual chic.

DURING THE DAY

SHORESIDE
For warmer climates, pack swimsuits and cover-ups, walking shorts and shirts that protect from the sun, lightweight slacks, skirts or sundress, and a light sweater or jacket. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are always encouraged.

For cooler climates, bring clothing with long sleeves, sweaters, and pants that can be layered. In areas prone to snow or rain, waterproof jackets, hats, gloves, and umbrellas are recommended.

Around the globe, consider appropriate shoes and gear for the excursions you have planned and the terrain you’ll encounter. For instance, you may pack water shoes if hiking a waterfall or a headscarf or conservative dress for visiting museums, mosques, temples, and churches.

SHIPBOARD
Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs are appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. Make sure you bring active wear and sneakers if you plan to hit the gym!

Poolside, bathing suits with coverups, T-shirts, tanks, hats, and sunglasses are welcomed.

In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.

AT NIGHT

SMART CASUAL
Smart Casual attire is required for entry to main dining, specialty dining, and the Celebrity Theatre. Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jean, and stylish top or button-down. Shorts and flip flops are not considered Smart Casual.

EVENING CHIC
Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jean, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos. The Daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater.

CARRY-ON LUGGAGE
Keep anything you might need for boarding day handy or stash it in your carry-on. That includes travel documents, medications, toiletries, and maybe a swimsuit and change of clothes. Your checked baggage should be delivered to your stateroom within a few hours of setting sail if tagged properly.

There is no limit or restrcition, however we recommend each guest carry a reasonable amount of personal property and limit the number of pieces they bring.

While most potentially flammable high-wattage items are strictly prohibited, hair curling irons, straightening irons, and hair dryers are permitted.

Yes, each stateroom will have a hair dryer provided for use onboard.

Travel Steamers, clothing irons and potentially flammable high-wattage items are strictly prohibited. If you'd like to have clothes pressed while onboard, laundry service is available. Ask your stateroom attendant of Guest Services team onboard for pricing and pick-up/delivery times.
