Sugar Loaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer & Authentic Churrasccaria Lunch
Leave your hotel and drive to Urca district, take glass cable cars and observe the lush vegetation surrounding the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain. From the top, see the spectacular views of Rio de Janeiro. After an authentic local Churrasccaria lunch, head to the Come Velho district and take the train through the Tijuca forest up the Corcovado Mountain. Feel at one with nature as your enjoy the verdant rainforest and views. At the top of one of Rio's most privileged belvederes, admire the well-known Christ the Redeemer statue and the stunning views of the "Marvelous City" This evening we enjoy a rooftop dinner with G&S DJs.

Little Africa & Samba Behind the Scenes Tour
Little Africa, is an area in the Port Region that has historically been home to a strong Afro-Brazilian community. The area became known as Little Africa following the outlaw of the slave trade in 1831. Pedra do Sal, a popular samba spot for locals and tourists alike, Pedra do Sal is the oldest continually inhabited black neighborhood in Rio. The area is widely credited as the birthplace of samba and Carnival. The spot gets its name from large stone where salt and trades were sold when the bay reached its shores. The construction of the Black Church, the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Benedict in the place where it now stands began in 1700. Lunch is included in CAIS Restaurant. The 1878 charming colonial building used to be a spice warehouse. Today the house has become one of the best spots to eat at Rio's old and historic downtown. Water, coffee, tea & soft drinks included.
Samba Experience
After lunch, depart with your guide for the Gamboa district near the port. Immerse yourself completely into Carnival and Sama in "Cidade do Samba" or Samba City. The complex of buildings is where the top Rio Samba schools prepare every day of the year for February's Carnival. At the "Academicos da Grande Rio" warehouse, learn about the famous parade's history and get into the Carnival spirit. Head backstage, see where they assemble their floats and try the vibrant costumes. After a caipirina tasting, get your hands and feet moving as you learn Samba during a percussion and dance workshop and learn how to make costumes.

Copacabana Beach Day
Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely morning. At noon shuttles to Copa Capabana Beach will start running. G&S has our own private section on Rio's famous beach, Copacabana Beach. Unlimited water, beer and caipirinhas from 2 to 6 pm.

Day At Leisure
Day at leisure. Enjoy the Sheraton's Beach or pool. You can also take the complimentary shuttle to nearby Leblon Beach and its upscale shopping mall. At approximately 4 pm we will depart the hotel for our farewell Carnivale theme dinner party including beer, wine, local entertainment and Grown & Sexy DJs.
