As the founder of Grown & Sexy Cruises, Keith “DJ KJ” Jones aimed to create a safe, affordable way to explore the world while sharing his passion for music.

What started as a single annual cruise has since expanded into a diverse range of travel experiences, including cruises, hotel takeovers, and exclusive getaways to iconic destinations like Dubai, Cairo, Bangkok, Bali, Rio de Janeiro, South Africa and Cartagena. Renowned for offering exceptional value, our cruises feature private nightly theme parties, celebrity DJs, comedy shows, seminars, networking opportunities, and ‘Praise at Sea’. Additionally, our international trips include VIP experiences such as yacht charters, restaurant buyouts, and curated local entertainment as well as our amazing DJ's.

Grown & Sexy is also dedicated to uplifting underserved women in the Caribbean through our annual sundress donation drive. Following Hurricane Dorian in 2019, we contributed over $10,000 in food and supplies to aid recovery efforts in the Bahamas.

Southern Sun The Cullinan hotel is located near to some of Cape Town’s most popular attractions, the best shopping spots and unmissable cultural excursions.

Cape Town International Airport is the primary international airport serving the city of Cape Town, South Africa. The airport code is CPT

Upon entering South Africa, U.S. citizens must have at least two completely blank visa pages in their passport (one side of each page, not both front and back). These pages must be in addition to the endorsement or amendment pages at the back of the passport. South African regulations strictly prohibit airlines from allowing passengers to board without the required blank pages. If you are from another country other than the U.S., please check your local consulate for travel requirements. 

Pack for warm, sunny days and cool evenings, especially during the summer months. Essentials include:

  • Comfortable walking shoes for exploring
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • A hat for sun protection
  • Light layers and a jacket for evening temperatures
  • Swimsuit if you plan to visit the beach
  • Camera to capture the scenic views

It's recommended to drink bottled or filtered water in Cape Town, as tap water quality can vary. Make sure you have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies outside of the United States. If you're planning on hiking or spending time outdoors, wear insect repellent to avoid bites.

Cape Town has many iconic attractions, including:

  • Table Mountain: Take the cable car or hike to the top for stunning views of the city.

The currency used in South Africa is the South African Rand (ZAR). It’s advisable to exchange money before your trip or withdraw cash at ATMs once in Cape Town. Many places accept credit cards, but cash may still be needed for smaller purchases.  Credit Cards and Banks: The majority of retailers and restaurants accept Visa and Mastercard as payment.

Most plugs in South Africa are 2-prong or 3-prong in type C, D, M, and N. I recommend buying a universal adapter (make sure it has surge protection) and using a converter for hairdryers and hot tools.

South Africa claims a whopping eleven official languages but the most common you’ll hear in and around Cape Town is English—the lingo of business and media—followed by Afrikaans and Xhosa on the streets.

Duty-Free: If you're traveling internationally, you can buy alcohol duty-free at the airport, which can offer savings compared to regular retail prices.

    • Bunny Chow (spicy curry served in a hollowed-out bread loaf)
    • Cape Malay-inspired dishes like Bobotie (a spiced meat dish with egg topping)
    • Grilled meats like lamb, beef, or chicken, often accompanied by hearty sides such as pap (a maize porridge) and sambals (spicy condiments).
    • Vegetarian options such as vegetable stew, spinach with peanut butter, and bean salads.

  • Dessert: The meal concludes with decadent traditional African sweets like Malva pudding (a spongy, syrup-soaked cake) or Koeksisters (sweet, fried dough twists).
